Figure 17-20 Incorrect battery cable connection method
Connecting Cables to the Circuit Breaker in a Battery Cabinet
Before connecting cables, ensure that the circuit breaker is OFF.
Connect cables to the circuit breaker as follows:
1. (Optional) If the intelligent battery monitoring system is deployed, knock off the cover
on the CIM indicator hole on the circuit breaker panel, as shown by (1) in Figure 17-21.
2. Remove the circuit breaker panel, as shown by (2) in Figure 17-21.
3. Connect the battery cables +, N, and -, as shown by (3) in Figure 17-21.
4. Connect the UPS cables +, N, and -, as shown by (4) in Figure 17-21.
5. (Optional) If two battery strings are deployed, connect the UPS terminals +, N, and - for
one battery string to the UPS terminals +, N, and - for the other battery string.
