a Check the heat belt and hot roller in the fuser.
b Remove the fuser unit assembly.
CAUTION—HOT SURFACE: The inside of the printer might be hot.
To reduce the risk of injury from a hot component, allow the surface to
cool before touching.
Is there contamination or cracks on the heat roll and/or pressure roll?
Replace the fuser. See
“Fuser removal” on
page 347.
Go to step 11.
