Picking up the
hook block
Depending on the driving mode, the hook block can be placed on a separate
vehicle;
à Driving modes, p. 6 - 1.
If the respective setting has been made in the
RCL, slew the superstructure and lower the
main boom until the boom head is directly
above the hook block (1).
Unreel the hoist rope.
Reeve the hoist rope into the hook block (1);
à Reeving and unreeving the hoist rope,
p. 12 - 82.
Raise the hook block off the separate vehicle.
Setting down the
hook block
Depending on the driving mode, the hook block must be set down on a separate
vehicle;
à Driving modes, p. 6 - 1.
With the RCL set accordingly, fully retract the
main boom.
Raise the hook block until it is about 1 m (3.3 ft)
below the main boom.
Lower the main boom and set the hook
block (1) down on the separate vehicle.
