Board Sensors
A. Board Sensors
1. Board sensors are optic sensors located along the length of the conveyor rails.
2. They detect the presence of a board or part and report the detection to the
dispensing software.
3. Depending upon system configuration, your dispenser may have as many as three
board sensors.
 Each zone, the pre-dispense, dispense, and post-dispense zone, can have its
own sensor.
 Your system will have as many sensors as it does zones.
4. There are two types of board sensors available on the M-2000 Dispensing Systems,
upward facing sensors and downward facing sensors.
B. Upward Facing Sensors
1. The upward facing sensors report the presence of a board when the board passes
over the optic sensor.
2. The optic sensor and sensitivity controls are both located below and between the
conveyor rails.
3. The sensitivity adjustments are located under the dispensing area front plate and
are accessed by removing the clear plastic cover.
C. Downward Facing Sensors
1. The downward facing sensors report the presence of a board when the board
passes underneath the optic sensor.
2. The optic sensor is mounted along the top edge of the front conveyor rail.
3. The sensitivity adjustments are located under the dispensing area front plate and
are accessed by removing the clear plastic cover.
