The muting function is activated following the sequential interruption of sensors “S1” and
“S2”, then sensors “S3” and “S4” (no time limit). If the transport goods are traveling in the
opposite direction, the correct sequence is: “S4”, “S3”, “S2”, “S1”.
Parameters
Timeout (s) Enables a time to be set from 10 s to “unlimited”, within which the muting cycle must be com-
pleted. If the cycle has not been completed when this time expires, muting is immediately
interrupted.
With Enable If this parameter is selected, it is possible to activate or deactivate the muting function. Oth-
erwise, the muting function is always activated.
Enable Type There are two options for the enable type: “Enable/Disable” or “Enable Only”.
If the “Enable/Disable” parameter is selected, the muting cycle is only enabled by a rising
edge of the “E
NABLE” signal. The muting cycle is terminated at the latest by a falling edge at
the “E
NABLE” input.
If the “Enable Only” parameter is selected, the muting cycle is only enabled by a rising edge
of the “ENABLE” signal. The muting cycle is not terminated by a falling edge at the “ENABLE”
input. For a new muting cycle to be performed, the “E
NABLE” signal must detect a rising
edge.
With Muting Out This parameter makes a muting output available at the function block, via which a muting
lamp can be connected.
Direction The order in which the sensors are occupied can be entered.
When “BIDIR” is set, the sensors can be occupied in both directions: from “S1” to “S4” and
from “S4” to “S1”. If “Up” is set, the direction is only from “S1” to “S4”, and if “Down” is se-
lected, the direction is only from “S4” to “S1”.
Muting Closing This can be performed in two ways: “CURTAIN” (electro-sensitive protective equipment)
and “SENSOR”.
If “CURTAIN” (electro-sensitive protective equipment) is selected, muting is terminated by
the rising edge of the “Input” signal. If “SENSOR” is selected, muting is terminated when the
third sensor is enabled.
