4. Using special pliers (RH 8090), remove the steel
clips (if fitted) securing the outlet hose to the filter
unit; detach the hose. Discard the clips.
To remove the filter unit, slacken the worm drive
clip securing the filter unit to its mounting bracket.
Withdraw the filter unit from the securing clip.
Note The filter unit is a sealed unit and no
attempt should be made to clean the
element.

Fit the mixture weakening device fittings by reversing

the procedure given for removal noting the following

1. Ensure that all pipes and hoses are in good con-

When fitting the filter unit it is essential that the
1 0.01 0 in. (0,254 mm. clearance)
inlet pipe, which is off-set from the centre is situated in

its lowest position.
