B.2 Parameter Table
398 YASKAWA TM.V1000.01 V1000 Drive Installation & Start-Up Manual (Preliminary 01-19-07)
n3-02
High-Slip Braking
Current Limit
Sets the maximum current draw during an HSB
stop. Higher n3-02 settings will shorten motor
stopping times but cause increased motor
current, and therefore increased motor heating.

n3-03
High-Slip Braking
Dwell Time at Stop
Sets the amount of time the drive will Dwell at
E1-09 (Minimum Frequency) at the end of
deceleration.
If this time is set too low, the machine inertia
can cause the motor to rotate slightly after the
HSB stop is complete and the drive output is
de-energized.

n3-04
High-Slip Braking
Overload Time
Sets the time required for an HSB overload
fault (OL7) to occur when the drive output
frequency does not change during an HSB
stop. This parameter does not typically require
adjustment.

n3-13
Overexcitation
Deceleration Gain
Applies a gain to the V/f pattern during
deceleration. Returns to normal values after
ramp to stop, re-acceleration, and stop
(DB, BB).
To improve the braking power of
overexcitation, increase the gain by 1.25 to
1.30.
When L3-04 = 0, this will improve the ability
of the drive to perform linear deceleration.
If L3-04 = 2, the deceleration time will be
adjusted relative to the speed.

Suppression Current
Level
If overcurrent or overload occur during
high-slip deceleration, reduce the high-slip
suppression current level. Set as a percentage
of the drive rated current.
