towel with mineral oil and wipe down the surface of the exposed Y-rails.

towel with mineral oil and wipe down the surface of the exposed Y-Axis. Pull

11. Inspect cable links for damage or wear, especially at the points of movement
for wear or insulation damage. Call the Agilent Response Center if damage is
discovered.
12. Inspect the Automatic Width Adjust lead screws for debris and lubrication. Use
a clean, lint-free cloth to remove contamination.
13. Apply a small amount of grease along the exposed length of both lead screws
and remove the excess.
14. Apply a small amount of grease along the exposed length of the X-Axis and the
Y-Axis rails and remove the excess.
15. Apply a small amount of grease to each of the four Z-Axis slide rails.
16. Check the rail locking set screws for each of the Z-Axis rails to ensure they are
tight.
Caution
When moving the X-Axis and Y-Axis by hand, only apply pressure to the
primary Y-Axis structures (the X-Axis welded aluminum channel structure or the
Y-Axis welded stainless steel structure). Applying pressure to the Z-Axis
structures or encoders will result in extensive damage to the axes assemblies.
