CONSOLE AI | Managing Channels (CP2) | 196
Crosspoint Type Description
Gated Connections between a microphone and any other channel can be
Gated or Non-Gated. If you choose Gated, the connection between
the two channels follows whatever gating rules are assigned to the
microphone.
Non-Gated Connections between a microphone and any other channel can be
Gated or Non-Gated. If you choose Non-Gated, the connection will
always be on and never gate off.
Pre-AEC Setting a Pre-AEC crosspoint in the Matrix bypasses the cross-pointed
input audio from the AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) reference. This
is primarily used for sound reinforcement applications to prevent mic
input channel audio from being degraded by AEC artifacts.
Use Mode to Choose How Multiple Selection Functions
11.To specify how multiple selection functions (i.e., what happens when you drag the pointer across
multiple crosspoints in MatrixView), choose one of the modes, described in the table below:
Mode (Icon) Description
Select Mode
Dragging the mouse pointer across multiple crosspoints select the
crosspoints and then opens the Set Multiple Crosspoints dialog box,
which lets you change the crosspoint type, attenuation, and mute state
for the selected crosspoints.
Roll Mode
Dragging the mouse pointer across multiple crosspoints changes each
selected crosspoint to the next possible crosspoint type.
Note:
How this works depends on the crosspoint type. Crosspoints
for microphones, for example, which can be gated, can change
between Gated, Non-Gated, and Pre-AEC. Dragging across
a microphone crosspoint in roll mode causes it to move from
whatever its current state is to the next possible state (in
the order listed in MatrixView under Crosspoint Types. For
crosspoints that can’t be gated, the state can either be on or off,
so using Roll Mode turns off crosspoints that are on and turns on
crosspoints that are off.
Copy Mode
Dragging the mouse pointer across multiple crosspoints copies the
crosspoint state from the first crosspoint touched to all other crosspoints
you drag across.
Note:
If the state being copied isn’t possible in a crosspoint you drag
across, then no change is made.
Note:
For more detailed information, see Using MatrixView Modes.
Mute or Attenuate a Crosspoint
12.To mute or attenuate a crosspoint, right-click it.
The Attenuation/Mute dialog box appears:
