Install a genuine Lexmark toner cartridge.
Does the problem remain?
Go to step 3. The problem is
solved.
Step 3
a Remove the toner cartridge.
b Check the toner cartridge actuator (A) for damage.
Is the actuator free of damage?
Go to step 5. Go to step 4.
Step 4
Replace the toner cartridge.
Does the problem remain?
Go to step 5. The problem is
solved.

a Remove the toner cartridge shutter actuator. See “Toner
cartridge shutter actuator removal” on page 430.
b Check the toner cartridge shutter actuator for damage.
