7.7.4.2 Configuring the Arrhythmia Alarm Timeout Period
The arrhythmia algorithm can disable alarm light and alarm tone for designated period
of time when certain arrhythmia alarms are detected.
You can set the arrhythmia alarm timeout period at the CMS. For how to configure the
arrhythmia alarm timeout period, refer to "Configuring the Arrhythmia Shield Time" on
page 13 - 11.

NOTE
• For the following alarms, alarm light and alarm tone cannot be disabled:
HR high, HR low, Tachycardia, Bradycardia, A-Fib End, Irr Rhythm End.
• The arrhythmia alarm timeout period is only applied to the medium pri-
ority chains and atrial fibrillation chain. For the alarms in the high prior-
ity chain, alarm tone and alarm light are presented as soon as the alarm
condition is detected. For more information on the arrhythmia alarm
chain, refer to "Arrhythmia Alarm Chains" on page 7 - 27.
