16.5 Cleaning and Disinfecting Other Parts
Other parts refer to the interior surface of lithium-ion battery pack or battery tray, the
battery compartment, ECG connector, SpO
2
connector, and SpO
2
cable, as shown below.
Clean or disinfect other parts only when needed or as required in your hospital’s
servicing schedule.
To clean and disinfect other parts, follow this procedure:
1. Shut down the device.
2. Remove the lithium-ion battery pack or battery tray from the TM80.
3. Unplug the ECG leadwire and SpO
2
cable from the TM80.
4. Clean and disinfect other parts with a soft cloth moistened with alcohol. During
cleaning and disinfection, always avoid metallic objects.
5. Wipe off the alcohol residue with a dry cloth.
6. Dry these parts in a ventilated, cool place.
CAUTION
• Do not clean or disinfect the metal objects.. Otherwise, metal part corro-
sion or product reliability deterioration could result.
