17.4 Maintenance and Testing Schedule
The following maintenance and tests, except for visual inspection, power on test, and
battery check, shall be carried out by the service personnel only. Contact your service
personnel if any maintenance is required. Make sure to clean and disinfect the equip-
ment before any test and maintenance.
17.5 Power-on Test
The TM80 performs a self-test during startup. You can refer to "Powering On the Unit" on
page 3 - 8 for details.
Check/Maintenance Item Recommended Frequency
Visual inspection When first installed or reinstalled.
Power-on test 1. When first installed or reinstalled.
2. Following any repairs or replacement of rele-
vant component.
ECG verification Performance test 1. If the user suspects that the measurement is
incorrect.
2. Following any repairs or replacement of rele-
vant module.
3. Once every two years.
Note: NIBP test should be performed at least once a
year.

Nurse call test If the user suspects that the nurse call functionality
does not work properly.
Electrical safety tests 1. After the TM80 or central charger falls off.
2. At least once every two years or as needed

Battery check Functionality test 1. When first installed.
2. Whenever the battery is replaced.
Performance test For rechargeable lithium-ion battery: once every
two months or when the battery run time is
reduced significantly.
