7.10 Relearning
Changes in ECG beat morphology could result in incorrect arrhythmia alarms and/or
inaccurate heart rate. ECG relearning allows the TM80 to learn the new dominant beat
morphology and thus reduce false arrhythmia alarms and inaccurate HR values. Once
learning is complete, the dominant QRS complex is stored as a reference template. The
reference template is used as the normal morphology of that patient and it is compared
with incoming beats to identify possible arrhythmias.
Options Description Settings*
QTc Configures whether to trigger
the QTc alarm.
On, Off
Alarm high limit range:
200 ms to 800ms; the step is 1ms.
The default is 500 for adult and the default is
480 for pediatric.
Alarm priority: Low, Med, High
QTc
Configures whether to trigger
the
QTc alarm.
On, Off
Alarm high limit range:
30ms to 200 ms; the step is 1ms.
The default is 60.
Alarm priority: Low, Med, High
* The factory default settings are in bold.
NOTE
• ST Analysis must be turned on before it will relearn.
