Conveyor Operations (Continued)
4. Part enters the dispense zone.
Stop pins in the dispense zone raise to stop the part.
A lift table underneath the heating plate raises up to the part.
- For systems with impingement heaters, a clamp bar raises, lifting the part
off the conveyor belt.
Tooling pins on the conveyor rails help hold the part in place during the
dispensing process.
5. Second part is loaded into the pre-dispense zone.
While dispensing is being performed on the first part, a second part can enter
the pre-dispense zone.
6. Part moves out of the dispense zone.
Once dispensing is complete, the stop pins are released, the lift table is lowered
or the clamp bar releases and the part is conveyed into the post-dispense zone
or to a downstream machine or unloader.
7. Part enters the post dispense-zone.
Stop pins are raised to stop the part.
If the system is so configured, a lift table or clamp bar raises to hold the part in
place, continuing to heat if necessary.
The dispense sends a “Ready” message to the conveyor, and the second part is
conveyed into the dispense zone.
