Max Modulation Frequency
Sets the maximum modulation frequency.
This parameter is valid/required only when preemphasis has been activated and an
external modulation source is used.
For sinewave signals with full modulation, preemphasis can lead to an internal over-
load of the modulator. The MMF parameter reduces the internal full modulation, so that
sinewave signals with nominal voltage can be transmitted with low distortion, even with
active preemphasis up to the set frequency. This procedure reduces the S/N ratio at
the set MMF, based on the level increase of the preemphasis.
The default value of this parameter works for normal modulation signals, such as voice
or music, because the amplitude of the high-frequency portions of these signals nor-
mally decreases substantially.

5.4.3.2 Pilot tone
Access:
► Select "Modulation" > "Stereo Modulation > Pilot Tone".
The pilot tone supports the transmission of a signal to the receiver through adding a
constant single-frequency signal. The signal receiver accepts the incoming signal only
after the pilot tone is confirmed.
