8.13 Alarm# 11 Water Recycling Malfunction
Condition
Water recycling malfunction
Alarm is triggered by:
• RETURN SUMP TO RESERVOIR #1 sequence has started and, 20 seconds later, RESERVOIR #1 LOW WATER LEVEL
DETECTED input [LS1] is not activated. – or –
• RETURN SUMP TO RESERVOIR #2 sequence has started and, 20 seconds later, RESERVOIR #2 LOW WATER LEVEL
DETECTED input [LS3] is not activated. – or –
• If Three Reservoir option is present: RETURN SUMP TO RESERVOIR #3 sequence has started and, 20 seconds
later, RESERVOIR #3 LOW WATER LEVEL DETECTED input [LS5] is not activated.
General Troubleshooting
Additional Information
Problem in water recycling system.
1. Press ALARM REPLY on touch screen to stop alarm
buzzer and acknowledge displayed alarm message.
2. Abort cycle
3. If condition reoccurs, contact STERIS.
8.14 Alarm# 12 Water Recirculation Temperature Too High
Condition
Water in recirculation system is too hot.
Alarm is triggered by...
• START WATER RECIRCULATION PUMP LOW SPEED output [C3/PMP1] is activated or START WATER
RECIRCULATION PUMP HIGH SPEED output [C1/C2/PMP1] is activated while WATER RECIRCULATION RTD
(PROCESS VERIFICATION) output [TE1(PV)] reading is over maximum allowed value for two consecutive seconds.
General Troubleshooting Additional Information
Water in recirculation system is too hot.
1. Press ALARM REPLY on touch screen to stop alarm
buzzer and acknowledge displayed alarm message.
2. Abort cycle.
3. If access to load inside chamber is required, wait
for temperature to cool down prior to opening door
and removing load.
4. Verify water temperature and temperature setpoint
in Supervisor mode.
5. Reset temperature setpoint as required .
6. If condition reoccurs, contact STERIS.
For electric heated washer/disinfector: Heaters circuit
breaker has been tripped by controller.
