8.45 Alarm# 48 Over Temperature Switch Tripped
Condition
An overheating of the drying heaters, recirculation heaters or reservoir heaters has been detected.
Alarm is triggered by...
One of the over temperature switches (OTS) tripped.

water recirculation heaters OTS
IMPORTANT: Each heater circuit breaker (CB5, CB6, CB7, CB8) is mechanically connected to a shunt trip. Whenever a heater
over temperature is detected, (IO4/2 input off), control activates output IO10/7 to energize all shunt trips which trip all heater
circuit breakers. CB5, CB6, CB7 and CB8 have to be reset manually.
IMPORTANT: When washer is repaired, ensure OTS is reset and manually put circuit breakers CB5, CB6, CB7, and CB8 in ON
position (red) before powering up washer/disinfector.
General Troubleshooting Additional Information
One of the over temperature switches (OTS) is tripped.
1. Press ALARM REPLY on touch screen to stop alarm
buzzer and acknowledge displayed alarm message.
2. Abort cycle.
3. If access to load inside chamber is required, wait
for temperature to cool down. Doors can be
manually open sideways to access
washer/disinfector chamber.
4. Contact STERIS.
