7.4 Debris Screen
WARNING
PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD
● Always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves and
faceshield, when cleaning or removing debris from bottom of chamber and from
debris screen. Surfaces are very hot after a cycle is completed and residual water
could splash on skin and in eyes.
● Always verify door bridge is down before entering washer/disinfector chamber.
● Keep hands and fingers away from door or any moving parts to prevent crushing.
WARNING
BURN HAZARD
Inner surfaces of chamber, surgical case carts and racks are very hot after cycle is
completed. Allow washer/disinfector to cool down before entering chamber. Always
wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves and faceshield,
and avoid all contact with inner walls when entering chamber.
WARNING
SLIPPING HAZARD
To prevent slips, keep floors dry. Promptly clean up any spills or drippage. For spills or
drippage of detergents or other chemicals, follow safety precautions and handling
procedures set forth on detergent or chemical label and/or Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
WARNING
PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD
Before servicing or cleaning washer/disinfector, always turn LOCK/UNLOCK key selector
to LOCK position to prevent cycle operation. Keep the key on yourself.
After last cycle of the day, clean debris screen located in bottom of washer/disinfector chamber as follows:
1. Allow washer/disinfector to cool down before entering washer/disinfector chamber.
2. Press Open/Close door on load side touch screen to open chamber load door.
3. Use key to turn Lock/Unlock selector to Lock position to lock washer/disinfector.
IMPORTANT: Retain key while inside chamber.
4. Enter chamber.
