Cycle and Control Value Programming
6.1 Cycle and Control Value Programming Introduction
IMPORTANT: A listing of the Safety Precautions to be observed when operating and servicing this equipment can be found in
Safety Precautions section of this manual. Do not operate the equipment until you have become familiar with this information.
6.2 Cycle and Control Value Programming - General

POSSIBLE EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
Always select a cycle appropriate for the items being processed. Failure to do so may result in product
damage.
The Vision® 1321 Cart and Utensil Washer/Disinfector, the Vision® 1327 Cart and Utensil Washer/Disinfector and the
Vision® 1330L Cart and Utensil Washer/Disinfector are programmed at the factory with several operating cycles.
Only some preset parameters can be modified for each validated cycle (see Table 6-1, for more details). Other preset
parameters and/or values cannot be modified at all.
A decontamination cycle is also programmed at factory to help with routine maintenance. Refer to Section 7.6,
Decontam Cycle, for details.
The cycles programmed at factory are as follows:
CART STANDARD To process surgical case carts. During the Wash phase, traveler spray arms are used at full
stroke, covering the whole chamber. Used to process surgical case carts 44-inches high or more.
CART LOW ECO To process surgical case carts. During the Wash phase, traveler spray arms are used at half
stroke. Used to process surgical case carts less than 44-inches high.
CONTAINER To process various types of containers.
UTENSIL To process bedpans, trays, basins, bowls and theatre shoes.
ALUMSAFE To process aluminum bedpans, trays, basins and bowls.
NOTE: The use of neutral detergent is recommended with the ALUMSAFE cycle.
BED To process hospital beds.
QUICK To process surgical case carts in less time. Used to process surgical case carts less than 44-inches high.
IMPORTANT: QUICK cycle does not perform disinfection of processed items.
INSTRUMENT (option) To process surgical instruments. Available with Instrument Washing option only.
DECONTAM Decontamination cycle.
NOTE: Only injection rate and Drying phase time can be modified within DECONTAM cycle.
CUSTOM CYCLES Other cycles are also available for custom programming. Desired cycle values must be
properly set to process carts or accessory racks accordingly.
