5.12 Loading Surgical Case Carts
CAUTION
POSSIBLE EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
Items processed in the washer/disinfector must tolerate temperatures and chemicals specified in this
manual. Always follow instrument manufacturer recommendations for cleaning instructions.
Surgical case carts are designed for storage of instruments and supplies for surgical procedures. Washer/disinfector
can process up to two surgical case carts per CART STD, CART LOW ECO or QUICK cycle.
IMPORTANT: Doors of surgical case cart must be locked in open position before cart is processed in the washer/disinfector.
IMPORTANT: Ensure to use cycle appropriate to cart(s) height to ensure optimal coverage on all surfaces (refer to Table 6-1,
Cycle Description Chart). A sticker on the wash chamber door frame allows operator to easily determine cart height.
IMPORTANT: When loading surgical case carts, always position open side of carts facing opposite control panel to help ensure
proper draining and drying when floor tilting system is used.
