8.32 Alarm# 30 Dosing System Communication Failure
Condition
No communication between dosing system and washer/disinfector.
Alarm is triggered by...
• After five "communication check request" from washer, dosing system has not sent "communication check
acknowledge". – or –
• After five "requests" (any kind) from washer, dosing system has not sent "acknowledgment" or "confirmation". –
or –
• No completion confirmation was received 12 minutes after the initial request confirmation.
General Troubleshooting
Additional Information
Dosing system and washer/disinfector do not
communicate.
1. Press ALARM REPLY on touch screen to stop alarm
buzzer and acknowledge displayed alarm message.
2. Abort cycle.
3. Shut washer/disinfector power OFF, then restart.
4. If condition reoccurs, contact STERIS.
8.33 Alarm# 31 Chemical #1 Low Level
Condition
Chemical #1 low-level sensor does not send a signal to control.
Alarm is triggered by...
• "Send chemical #1 level" value from dosing system = 0.
NOTE: This alarm is only monitored in Ready mode.
General Troubleshooting
Additional Information
Chemical pickup tube is out of container.
1. Press ALARM REPLY on touch screen to stop alarm
buzzer and acknowledge displayed alarm message.
2. Abort cycle.
3. Verify if chemical #1 pickup tube is out of
container.
4. If so, insert pickup tube into chemical container.
5. If condition reoccurs, contact STERIS.
If chemical #1 pickup tube is in chemical container,
chemical level is too low or container is empty.
1. Let cycle proceed through all cycle phases.
2. When cycle is completed, replace empty container
with new one.
3. If condition reoccurs, contact STERIS.
