Items processed in the washer/disinfector must tolerate temperatures and chemicals
specified in this manual. Always follow instrument manufacturer recommendations for
cleaning instructions.
IMPORTANT: If items are to be loaded in a rack or accessory not listed in this manual, ensure to receive proper loading training
from rack or accessory s manufacturer prior to use.
IMPORTANT: Maximum loading weight (accessory rack and its contents) for manual loading of the washer/disinfector is 300 lb
(136 kg).
STERIS carries a complete line of accessories for use with this equipment. Contact STERIS for more information on
these products.
To properly clean items and avoid personal injuries, always follow these general loading guidelines:
1. Remove gross soil from basins, bedpans, urinals or kidney bowls before processing in washer/disinfector.
2. Instrument containers should be manually pre-cleaned prior to loading into rack.
3. Always use a rack designed to handle appropriate type of items to be processed.
4. Place the biggest and heaviest items on lower levels of rack.

Vision CW Container Rack can load a maximum of:
• 20 containers of up to 24 x 12 x 8” (610 x 305 x 203 mm).
When loading Vision CW Container Rack, ensure:
• to place filter retention plates on dedicated basket;
• to place all covers oriented the same way, not back to back;
• to place containers with opening facing down in rack with handles facing downward;
• not to place two items one behind the other on the same shelf; contact points will not be washed properly;
• no items stick out of rack;
• to place heavier containers on the lower shelf.
