• Align the accessory each time it is installed or if performance degrades.
• Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for probe maintenance.

Aligning the Accessory
Align the accessory each time it is installed it or if performance degrades.
Y To align the accessory
1. Remove the protective caps from the test cable and from the ports on the accessory.
Store the end caps securely so they can be replaced when the cable or accessory is removed
from the instrument.
2. Route the test cable through the detector compartment.
3. Attach both connectors to the ports on the accessory.
To attach a cable, insert the SMA connector and gently tighten the ferrule by hand.
4. From INSIGHT software, choose System Settings > Alignment.
See Alignment Tab.
5. Set the filter.
Set Filter to Green (typical) or White (no filter) if the signal is low.
6. Set Bandwidth to Fiber.
NOTICE When attaching fiber optic cables to the accessory ports, avoid:
• Twisting or bending the cable.
• Touching the cable ends with your fingers.
• Overtightening or using tools to tighten the connectors.
• Scratching the cable ends.
