If the computer is not mapped to recognize that .xml files should be opened with Excel, open
the exported file from within Excel.
Math and Analysis Operations
Smoothing Scan Data
Use Smooth in the Math menu to reduce noise in wavelength scan data. The smoothing
algorithm uses the Savitzky-Golay method. For more information, see About Smoothing.
Settings info Includes a table of workbook settings. Use the Font button to specify the
font for the information.
Graphs Includes spectra and other data plots in printed reports. See “Print report
graphs” below for more information.
Page Setup Specifies the paper size, orientation and other printing attributes.
Print report
graphs
Select Overlay to print data plots overlaid. Select Separate to print data
plots separately, with the specified number of plots on a page. These are
available only if Graphs is selected (see above).
Note We recommend first defining a master page on the Report Master Page tab in
Options.
