Calibrating the Cell Changer
The linear cell changer must be calibrated the first time it is installed in a spectrophotometer.
Calibration aligns each cell with the light beam. This is especially important when using
microcells with the cell changer. The calibration settings are stored in the instrument.

Y To calibrate the linear cell changer
1. In INSIGHT software choose System Settings > Calibrations.
2. In the Linear Cell Changer group, click Calibrate.
A status box shows several intensity values collected on each side of the expected best
location for each cell. The average of the highest readings is stored for each cell.
A message box appears when calibration is completed.
3. Click OK.
CAUTION Avoid pinch hazard. Keep hands and objects clear of the accessory during oper-
ation.
