Initial Issue
REP 3.0.5 Upper Duplex Guide and Solenoid

Removal
NOTE: These steps describe Upper Duplex Guide removal for the 8860MFP. On 8860 models,
access the Upper Duplex Guide by removing the Control Panel (REP 1.1.6). Afterwards, return
to this procedure and begin at Step 3.
1. Remove the Scanner Assembly with attached DADF (REP 1.0.11).
2. Remove the Output Tray (REP 1.0.6).
3. Remove the Right Side Cover (REP 1.0.21 or REP 1.1.10 for the 8860).
4. Remove the Outer Duplex Guide (REP 3.0.6).
5. Disconnect the solenoid (P/J250) from the I/O Board and release the harness from the
right side retainers to remove the guide from the printer.

Replacement
Route the solenoid harness through the right side of the frame. Also, route the guide under the
edges of the Exit Module frame. Check that the Stripper Solenoid actuator engages the hole in
the Stripper Carriage Assembly.
