Checking the vapor separator
1. Check:
• Needle
valve
Bent/worn  Replace the float.
2. Check:
• Float
Deteriorated  Replace.
3. Check:
• Filter
Dirt or residue  Clean.
4. Measure:
• Float height
Out of specification  Replace the float.
a. Place the cover assembly upside
down,
and then measure the float
height “a”.
When measuring the float height, the float
should be resting on the needle valve. Do not
press the float.

1.5 N·m (0.15 kgf·m, 1.1 lb·ft)
