Checking the lower case
1. Check:
• Lower case
Cracked/damaged  Replace.
Assembling the forward gear
1. Install:
• Tapere
d roller bearing inner race “1”
2. Install:
• Needle
bearing “1”
Face the bearing identification mark “a” on the
needle bearing up.
Assembling the drive shaft housing
1. Install:
• Needle bea
ring “1” (in the drive
shaft housing)
2. Install:
• Oil seal “1” (in the drive shaft hous-
ing)
Install an oil seal halfway into the drive shaft
housing, and then install the other oil seal.
