Rigging grommet mounting

d. Move the accelerator cam “1” so that it
contacts the stopper “2”.
e. Pull the inner cable “1” using the force
of 15
N (1.5 kgf, 3.4 lbf) to remove any
free play in the cable.
f. Adjust the throttle cable joint “2”, and
then install it to the pin “3” of the accel-
erator cam.
The throttle cable joint must be screwed in
8.0 mm (0.31 in) or more.
g. Install the clip “4”, and then check that
the throttle cable locknut “5” is fully
seated on the throttle cable joint “2”.
h. Tighten the throttle cable locknut “5”
from its fully seated position to the
specified angle.

Installing the conventional gauge
(6Y5/6Y7) harness
1. Install:
Gauge harness
a. Remove the cap “1”.
b. Route the gauge harness “2” through
the bottom cowling.
c. Connect the gauge harness coupler
“a
”. See “Bottom cowling” (5-9).
Installing the rigging grommet
1. Install:
Rigging grommet
a. Route each cable, harness, and hose
throug
h the proper holes in the rigging
grommet. See “Rigging grommet de-
scription” (3-4).
b. Align the tape “a” on the battery cable
“1
” with the outer end of the rigging
grommet.
