Corroded/cracked Replace.
Checking the oil strainer
1. Check:
Oil strai
ner
Dirt/residue Clean.
Checking the PCV
1. Check:
PC
V
Damaged/worn Replace.
Grommet
Deformed Replace.
Spring
Deformed/fatigued Replace.
Checking the exhaust guide anode
1. Check:
Anode
Eroded (1/2 or more) Replace.
There is grease, oil, or scales Clean.
Do not apply grease, oil, or paint to the an-
ode.
Assembling the oil pan and exhaust
guide
1. Install:
Gask
et (to the oil strainer)
Oil strai
ner
Oil strainer bolt
2. Install:
Gasket (to the exhaust guide)
Pipe
Dowel pin
Oil pan
3. Tighten:
Oil pan bolt
a. Tighten the oil pan bolts “1” to the
specified
torque in 2 stages and in the
order [1], [2], and so on.
4. Install:
Gasket (to the oil pan)
Dowel pin
Plate
Oil strainer bolt
12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 8.9 lb·ft)
New
