Propeller shaft housing

Face the bearing identification mark “a” on the
needle bearing toward the propeller.
• Oil seal “1” (into the propeller shaft
housing)
Install an oil seal halfway into the propeller
shaft housing, and then install the other oil
seal.
2. Install:
• Thrust washer “1”
• Ball b
earing “2” (onto the reverse
gear “3”)
Face the bearing identification mark “a” on the
ball bearing toward the propeller.
3. Install:
• Reverse gear assembly “1”
After installation, check that the reverse gear
turns smoothly.
4. Check:
• Reverse gear movement
Not smooth  Repeat from step (3).
5. Install:
• O-ring (to the propeller shaft hous-
ing)
