5DX Series 3 SMEMA Interface Standards
Upstream Signals
The signals between the upstream equipment and the 5DX system are:
• SRI — Send Request Input — The upstream equipment forces this signal
low when it is ready to send a panel to the 5DX.
• TRO — Transfer Request Output — The 5DX forces this signal low when it
is ready to accept the panel from the upstream equipment.

When both the SRI and TRO signals are low, then the panel will actually transfer
from the upstream equipment to the 5DX. The timing of these signals and when
the panel transfers is shown in Figure 5-4.
