SMEMA Interface Standards 5DX Series 3
Downstream Signals
The signals between the 5DX System and the downstream equipment are as
follows:
SRO Send Request Output The 5DX forces this signal low when it is
ready to send a panel to the downstream equipment.
TRI Transfer Request Input The downstream equipment forces this
signal low when it is ready to accept the panel from the 5DX.
GPO Good Panel Output The 5DX uses this signal to indicate that the
panel being sent has been tested and is good.
UPO Untested Panel Output The 5DX uses this signal to indicate that
the panel being sent has not been tested.
Figure 5-5: SMEMA signal timing between 5DX & downstream equipment
When both the SRO and TRI signals are low, then the panel will actually transfer
from the 5DX to the downstream equipment. The timing of these signals and when
the panel transfers is shown in Figure 5-5.
