Digital I/O Assembly 5DX Series 3
Input Direct Current Relays
The Input Direct Current Relays handle the input signals from the sensors in the
Panel Handling Subsystem Assemblies and SMEMA inputs from other process
equipment. These inputs are converted to a digital zero or one and passed onto the
System Controller for processing.
There are light emitting diode (LED) indicators positioned at the front of the
Digital I/O Assembly that indicate the status of the various inputs. When the LED
is lit, then the condition associated with the LED is true. Refer to Table 5-7 for a
listing of the Input Direct Current Relay assignments.
