X-ray Tube Dielectric Pressure Sensor
The X-ray Tube Pressure Vessel is filled with an inert dielectric gas to prevent
arcing that can cause damage to the X-ray Tube. The X-ray Tube Dielectric
Pressure Sensor, shown in Figure 8-10, constantly monitors the pressure inside of
the X-ray Tube Pressure Vessel and presents this information to the operator, by
way of the User Interface. A warning is first indicated (through the User Interface)
if the dielectric pressure drops to 50 psi. If the dielectric pressure falls below 40psi
then X-rays are automatically shut down.

The X-ray Tube Dielectric Pressure Sensor is polled through a single
I/O bit read by the DMC-1000 device driver through the Digital I/O
Assembly.
