VacIon Power Supply
1. Check the VacIon Power Supply to verify that the green power light is on.
2. Connect one end of a BNC test cable to the J0400 on the back of the VacIon
Power Supply.
3. Attach the other end of the test cable to a voltmeter, using a BNC to banana
adaptor or by touching the meter’s test leads to the test cable.
4. The dc voltage reading should be in the millivolt range.
5. Record the voltage reading in the Service Log Book. Check that there has been
no change by comparing the current reading against previous readings. If a
reading measurement is 20 millivolts dc or higher, contact the Agilent
Response Center.
Focus Coil Power Supply
1. Verify that the Focus Coil Power Supply’s LED display is on and a voltage
current reading is displayed.
2. Verify the green LED marked as “cc” is on.
3. Record the amps reading in the Service Log Book. Check that there has been
no change by comparing the current reading against previous readings. If the
amp reading has changed, contact the Agilent Response Center.
a. Select System Access and press Enter.
b. Select Shutdown and press Enter.
c. Select Short Term Shutdown and press Enter.
d. Turn the X-ray Control Key to the Off position.
e. Open the X-ray Tower access panel.
f. Locate the X-ray Tube Data Sheet attached to the X-ray Tube Pressure
Ve ss el.
g. Verify that the Focus Coil Power Supply current reading is consistent with
the data presented for Grid 2.

High Voltage capable of causing death or injury is present. Do not remove
connector J0401. 5,000 Volt potentials are present internal to the Auxiliary
Power Supplies Assembly.
