3. Make sure that the source Ethernet MAC address is the same as that labeled on the
base of the phone. For example:

C.3 Recovering the Phone
This section shows how to recover the phone.
To recover the phone:
1. Configure the PC NIC to which the phone is connected as follows:
• IP address: 192.168.1.1
• Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Figure C-4 below shows the configured settings.
2. Make sure the phone is directly connected (or via a network hub) to the PC LAN NIC.
3. Disable all other PC NICs (also wireless NICs).
