5. Troubleshooting
Code 6042: “Board id: display module read error” (Error)
Situation Solution
Disconnected gray flat cable
between P MP board and Display
module.
1. Check if the gray flat cable is connected with the PM P board (reference 1 image 5-7).
2. Check if the gray flat cable is connected with the Display module (reference 2
image 5-8).
Note: The P MP board and Display m odule are located inside the housing of the Input &
Comm unication m odule. The top cover of the Input & Com munic ation module has to be
removed to access the internal wire units.
Malfunction Display module. The
projector c an not read from the
installed Display module.
Replace the Display m odule. See "Replacing the LCD Display Interface", pag e 161.
Malfunction I²C communication on
the PMP board. The input boards,
the PMP boar d an d the WARP
module also have “Board id read
errors”.
Remove/disconnect the other boards from the I²C com munication line one by on e and
check if this error remains. R ep lace the boa rd which makes this error goes away. If none
of the boards is the cause of this error, replace the PMP board. See chapter "Pr ojector
block diagram", page 15, to see which boards are connected to the same internal
communication line.

Code 6043: “Board id: display module write error” (Error)

Malfunction Display Module. The
projector can not write to the installed
Display Module.
Replace the Display M odule. See "Replacing the LCD Display Interface", pag e 161.
Code 6044: “Board id: fan control board unknown format” (Warning)
Situation Solution
Old projector softwa re installed. Th e
ID parameters of the Fan Control
board are written in a format which is
not known by the projector software.
Check if the v ersion o f the installed projector software is the latest available v ersion. T he
latest version can be downloaded from h
ttps://my.barco.com.
Fan Control board has invalid
firmware.
Replace the Fan C ontrol board. See "Replacing the Fan control board", page 278.
Corrupt pr ojector s oftware. Reinstall the latest projector software.
Code 6045: “Board id: fan control board not accessible” (Error)
Situation Solution
Only the ID parameters of the Fan
Control board are not accessible.
The ID parameters of all other
boards are accessible.
Ignore this error message unless other functionality of the Fan Control board fails as well.
If so, replace the Fan Control board. See "Replacing the Fan control board", page 278.
