5. Troubleshooting
Code 7709: “Power supply primary PFC temp low” (Warning)
Situation Solution
Blocked air inlet channel.
Ensure that the air inlet at the front bottom of the projector is not blocked. Prov ide a
sufficient free area at the front o f the projec tor so that fresh air can freely enter the air
inlet channel.
The wire unit of the S M P S is
disconnected from the Power
Distribution boa rd.
Check if the wire unit (reference 1 image 5-33) of the SMPS control is c onnected w ith the
power distribution board.
The wire unit of the temperature
sensor on the SM PS is damaged .
Check if the wire unit (reference 3 image 5-35) of the temperature s ensor on the SMPS
is not dam aged. Replace sensor and wires if necessary.
Malfunction Fan Control bo ard. Replace the Fan Control Board. See "Replacing the Fan control board", page 278.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 3 image 5-35) which
measures the temperature at the
primary side of the SMPS.
Replace the temperature sensor.

Code 7711: “Power supply primary PFC temp high” (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warn
ing code 7710: “Powe r s upply primary PFC temp high”. The s ame troubleshooting
table can be applied to.
Code 7712: “Power supply primary PFC temp open” (Error)
Situation Solution
Damaged wire unit of the
temperature sensor (reference
3 image 5-35 and im age 5-33).
Repair or replace the wire unit.
Defect temperature sensor
(reference 3image 5-35) which
measures the temperature at
heatsink of the primary side of the
SMPS.
Replace the temperature sensor mounted on the heatsink of the primary s ide of the
SMPS (reference 3image 5-35).
