4.3.3.9 Removing the Ink Cartridge Holder & Slots
The Ink Cartridge Holder is made up of six individual slots, one for each color of ink.
The following instructions describe how to access and remove one of those slots.
1. Perform ink discharge by executing head cleaning from the Self-Diagnostic
"Adjustment Menu."
2. Remove the R Side Cover.
3. Remove the I/C Holder Cover as described in 4.3.1.6 "I/H Cover ASSY Removal".
4. Remove 6 flat cables from CSIC Board and Holders (Refer to section 4.3.2.4),
then release the cables from harness clamps on the ink cartridge holder side.

5. Disconnect the six air tubes.

C A U T I O N
To prevent ink leakage, perform ink discharge before disassembly.
(Refer to Chapter 5 "Adjustment")

C A U T I O N
 To prevent ink splash and leakage, place absorbent material at
hex head nuts when removing the nuts.
 It is recommended that removed ink tubes be temporarily placed
in a plastic bag to prevent adhesion of dust for prevention of dot
missing conditions due to dust/dirt entry into ink tubes and head.
