5.3.8 Offset adjustment for dot missing detector
Automatically offset values are fixed after the dot missing detection operation. Refer to
the paragraph "Offset adjustment for dot missing detector" on page 199 for details.
5.3.8.1 P_Front/Rear/Edge sensor adjustment
Adjustment procedure
1. Remove the Option I/F Cover from the rear of the printer.
2. Start Diagnostic Mode 1, perform volume adjustment for "Test" - "Sensor" -
"Edge AD, Front AD, Rear AD" corresponding sensors using special purpose
paper. See "Sensor" on page 210 for details.

FRONT/REAR SENSOR
Adjustment procedure
1. Adjust so that On-Off (left value) is within the adjustment range.
2. With paper set in position, confirm that the value for On (right value) is within the
adjustment range.
EDGE SENSOR
Adjustment procedure
1. Adjust so that On (right value) is within the adjustment range.
2. With paper set in position, confirm that the value for On-Off (left value) is within
the adjustment range.
