8.2 Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting, see Chapter 3 "Troubleshooting."
This section describes information that is unique to Stylus Pro 10600, and it should be
applied in conjunction with Chapter 3 information.
8.2.1 Troubleshooting Using the Messages
Error messages

The following explains error messages that have been added to Stylus Pro 10600.

Item Description
LCD message DEFECTIVE INK CRTG
LED indicator status Corresponded color LED goes on.
Explanation
This error occurs when ink cartridge CSIC includes problems or cartridge
is in connection error (such as when CSIC is failed to read/write after
confirmation of ink cartridge insert).
Recovery
If it occurred because of connection error, release ink lever (at this time,
"INK COVER OPEN" is displayed) and re-insert ink cartridge. If error is
still not solved, ink cartridge needs to be changed to the one ink filled up.
Do not reinstall a cartridge that has been removed. If this practice is not
followed, accurate operation of the remaining ink indicator cannot be
ensured.
