1.6 SelecType Settings
 Entering SelecType mode
To access the operating Panel settings, press the SelecType button while the printer is
not printing. The printer enters the SelecType mode and cannot print.
 Operation
1. The SelecType menus are displayed in turn each time the "SelecType" button is
pressed in the SelecType menu select mode. The setup menu is displayed right-
justified on the LCD.
2. The SelecType items select mode is selected by pressing the "Item" button once in
the SelecType menu select mode. The first setup item on the setup menu is
displayed. The display is in the '[Item]=[current setup value]*' format. The '*'
represents the current setup value.
3. With the SelecType items displayed, the settable values are displayed in turn in the
'[Item]=[current setup value]*' format each time the "Setup value +" button or
"Setup value -" button is pressed. The '*' is only displayed when the displayed
setup value is the current value. If the "Setup value +" button or "Setup value -"
button is pressed for more than the set period of time, the setup values are
displayed periodically in forward or reverse order respectively. If the button is
pressed for more than the set period of time continuously variable values are
skipped.
4. When the "Enter" button is pressed in the select mode, the displayed setup value is
entered and recorded as the current setup value. No operation occurs if '*' is
already displayed.
5. Pressing the "SelecType" button in the SelecType menu select mode will return to
the SelecType menu select mode and the next setting menu will be displayed.
 Termination
1. Press the "Pause" button in the SelecType mode to select the print ready status.
2. The printer enters the print ready status when setup initialization is run.
3. The printer enters the print ready status after the nozzle check or status sheet is
printed.
4. The printer enters the print ready status after the cutter is replaced.
5. The printer enters the print ready status when "SelecType" button is pressed
several times in the first step of SelecType mode.
6. The printer enters the print ready status when "SelecType" button is pressed one
time in the second step of Selectype mode.
