8.3.1.4 Print head cleaning
This is the item that is carried out at the time of the end of the production process or
before the head exchange.
Following figure showing the head washing menu sequence.

NOTE1: During display of "Please Drain. C" "Set Cleaning I/C" "Please Drain.
C (2)" if all cartridges are not inserted after removal of all previous
cartridges, the [Enter] button will not function. (The process cannot
move to the next part of the sequence.)
NOTE2: If the [Pause] button is pressed with all 6 color cartridges removed
during display of "Please Drain. C" "Set Cleaning I/C" then "Check
Cartridge" will be displayed. Pressing the [Enter] button while "Check
Cartridge" is displayed will move the process to the next part of the
sequence.
If for some reason the process cannot move to the next part of the
sequence, "Reset *** I/C" will be displayed.

After the regular cartridges are removed, install the
draining cartridge and then press the [Enter] button.
Completed after ink discharge
After the draining cartridge is removed, install the
cleaning cartridge and then press the [Enter] button.
Completion of cleaning liquid filling
After the cleaning cartridge is removed, install the
draining cartridge and then press the [Enter] button.
Completion of cleaning liquid discharge
C A U T I O N
Do not carry out the counter clear of the menu that is displayed at
the end of the head washing.
If the "Adj : Counter Clear" was displayed, turn off the power
supply of the printer and get out of from the self diagnostic
operation mode.
