5.3.9 Paper feeding adjustment
Refer to TJ01-304Rev.A of T/I (Technical Information) number.
5.3.10 Cutter Pressure Adjustment
This adjustment is applicable from firmware version (TBD). This adjustment is
performed when the C362DRV Board is replaced, the sub-platen unit is replaced or
removed or the cutter solenoid or carriage unit is replaced.
 Adjustment procedure
1. Select the "Adj.: Cutter" from the diagnostic mode.
2. Pressing the Enter switch will display "Paper Pre. =60%."
NOTE: From firmware version T00913, the "Paper Pre." menu is no longer
displayed.
3. Pressing the Enter switch will display "Pressure=35%."
4. Pressing the Enter switch will display "Exec. Adj. ?"
5. Pressing the Enter switch will display "Wait." At this time, the carriage unit has
been pulled away from the home position, so it is pulled back to the measurement
point. (Measurement points are left end, center and right end of the middle of each
sub-platen unit.)

6. Hook the tension gauge on the cutter solenoid.

7. Press Enter switch, the cutter will be move to downward. At the time, measure the
cutter pressure.
NOTE: Standard value of cutter pressure: 350-700g
8. If the cut pressure is within standards, pressing the Enter switch will display
"[Exec] Key Up" and the cutter will return, so the carriage can be moved to the
next measurement point for continued measurement.
9. If the cut pressure is outside standards, press the Enter switch after "[Exec] Key
Up" is displayed and "Pressure=35%" will be displayed. Adjust the set value by
using the Paper Feed +/- switches.
10. Repeat Steps 3 through 9 for each of the measurement points in that condition until
the cut pressure is within standards.
11. When 3 measurement points have had measurement completed, press the Pause
button when "Pressure=35%" is displayed will exit the cutter pressure adjustment
menu.
