4.3.3.14 Removing Flushing Box
1. Remove the R Side Cover as described in 4.3.1.4 "R Side Cover Removal".
2. Release 3 waste ink tubes of Pump Cap Unit from clamp and disconnect the
Flushing Box fan cable connector at connection adapter of R side frame.
3. Remove 2 screws (M4x8) securing Flushing Box, then shift the box slightly,
tilting box to forward left (as seen from rear).

4. Remove the Waste Ink Cover as described in 4.3.3.1 "Replacing the Waste Ink
Pads".

5. Release waste ink tubes from tube clamps (3 places).
6. While pulling waste ink tubes out through hole in printer right frame, remove the
Flushing Box from the printer.

C A U T I O N
Insert some absorbent material into the waste ink tubes when
removing the Flushing Box in order to prevent ink leakage. (Ink
will be remaining inside Flushing Box.)
Do not press strongly on transparent part (film) of Flushing Box.
Doing so will damage the film and cause the Flushing Box
function to be inoperable, with ink mist adhering to the printer
interior and reducing the effectiveness of sensors. If the film is
damaged, replace the part.
