5.3.1 CR steal belt tension adjustment
This adjustment is applied to all the operation accompanied by CR Motor/CR Steel
Belt removal and installation.
Standard: 100 g +/-10%
Adjustment procedure
1. Push the CR Steel Belt center part (about midway the printing width (belt width))
upwards from below using a tension gauge.
2. Measure the tension when the CR Steel Belt touches the CR Rail.
3. Adjust the belt tension by equally turning the 2 CR Driven Pulley adjustment
screws (at left side frame).
4. Move the Carriage left/right several times by hand and check that the belt stays at
the center of the left and right pulleys. (No bias to one side.)
5. Apply a screw locking liquid to the adjustment screws.

5.3.2 PF timing belt tension adjustment
This adjustment is applied to all the operation accompanied by PF Motor/PF Timing
Belt removal and installation.
Standard: 3,500 g +/-10%
Adjustment procedure
1. Set the tension gauge in the position shown in Figure 5-2.
2. Pull the tension gauge in the direction shown by the arrow until it indicates 3,500g
± 10%.
3. Tighten the PF Motor set screws.
