Space Torches
Space Torches automatically uses the following M Codes as described in the Program Codes
Automatic Torch Spacing section:
M305 - Capture Home Position 5.
M32 – Unclamp and Unlock All Torches
M77 or M78 – Rail Go to Home command moves all Torches based on Machine Axes Orientation
M33 - Unclamp and Lock All Torches
M34T - Clamp Specific Torch for Spacing (for the number of torches to space)
M79T5 - Return to Home Position 5.
Torch Spacing Complete.
In addition to the Clamp and Unclamp M codes above, Clamping I/O must be defined and wired to
each Torch Station. Please make sure that all I/O is defined and wired properly before using this
function.
Once the machine has been set up properly per the above requirements, Space Torches may be
used standalone or after activating a Laser Pointer Manual Offset above for maximum precision.
Use the steps below when using nests that have a starting Rapid Traverse from the plate corner:
1. Position Torch 1 at Corner of plate where nest will start.
1a. Optionally use the Laser Pointer/Manual Offset for more accuracy.
2. Enter number of Torches and Spacing Distance.
3. Press Space Torches Button.
Note if the Laser Pointer offset is used, then if in Trial Mode the offset is maintained during Torch
Spacing. If in any cut mode other than Trial, the Laser Pointer offset is automatically cancelled before
starting the Torch Spacing.
4. Upon completion of Torch Spacing the operator can load the part/nest and trial with laser pointer or
cut with torches as desired.
Adjust Dual Gantry Skew
Allows the operator to manually realign the Dual Gantry Axis using the directional manual jog (arrow
and ) keys.
