DV-6000 Series
A. Description
1. The DV-6000 Rotary Auger Pump is designed to accurately dispense high-viscosity,
single-component fluids and pastes.
2. It can be specially programmed for high degree of accuracy when dispensing very
small dots.
B. Operation
1. The DV-6000 dispenses fluid by the controlled rotation of a rotary feedscrew.
 A feedscrew is a threaded auger which rotates to transport fluid from the
syringe to the dispensing needle
2. The feedscrew moves the fluid from the feed port (inlet) to the discharge port
(outlet).
3. Fluid is presented to the inlet port through the syringe reservoir by applying
pressure to the fluid through the valve pressure line
4. When the valve is on:
 Air pressure is applied to the syringe via the receiver head.
 Fluid is forced down the channel to the rotating auger feed screw.
 The DC motor turns the feedscrew at a constant speed, moving fluid through
the valve.
5. When air pressure is removed:
 The motor rotation can be reversed, which reverses the direction of the
feedscrew, and creates a suckback effect.
C. Features
1. Less sensitive to pressure fluctuations due to fluid path improvements.
2. Easy to clean with a disposable fluid-feed elbow.
3. Easy syringe installation and removal.
4. Feedscrew made of hardened tool steel (standard).
5. Carbide feedscrew available for longer life.
D. Adjustments
1. You can optimize the operation of the DV-6000 by changing the setting of the
Speed Controller or adjusting valve pressure.
2. You can change dispensing characteristics by changing the dispensing tip or by
changing various dispensing parameters within the software.
